I live in South Redford, MI. CNN rated it as one of the top 25 safest cities in the US.
We have a 3 bedroom home. Full basement. We purchased it for $125,000. With the updates we have made it Should be able to go for $145,000. Because of the market, if we tried to sell it, we couldn't.
Rather it will likely go up for auction. And in this area, it would go for under $100. Houses only streets from here were being auctioned at $60,000 +
after discovering what you have about the watchtower society would you ever consider going back to the jw's?
Sure! Only if they.....
Said that they were sorry and really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really times 100,000,000,000,000,000,000.0 meant it
and bought me a banana split at Baskin Robins
and ran a marathon buck naked
and sold the buildings and donated every last penny to a fund set up for the victims of the child abuse within their congregations..
then I'd go back. No problem.
i just got it on dvd today and have watched the first 15 minutes...oh my god... this has got to be the best saw yet i will have to continue the rest of it tomorrow...i will not sleep tonight...
To be honest I could never watch these types of movies but something CLICKED in my mind about 5 years ago and I can't get enough of them. The Saw series are great but this latest Saw 4 even I had a hard time with the first 15 minutes and had to look away a few times...It's like passing an automobile accident you don't want to look but you do...
Ahh. Well I hope whatever clicked was not more like snap Just kidding. Yeah, I think I can see what you mean. It's the whole:
"OMFG! Look at that eyeball hanging from his face!"
I know when I was growing up I liked some horror. Not quite like Saw. More like the campy Friday the 13th crap. Then for me, I think after I had my girls, I just can't watch them anymore. Ok, well maybe Friday the 13th, let's face it, it's not quite Saw.
Heh, I tried watching the Grudge, and kept hiding my head under the blanket.

Can I just ask....
Why? Why? Why would you want to see these movies? Just the commercials freak me out.
I seriously don't understand why people watch these things.
But hey each their own...
do you believe we're in a recession?
Lola, you are making some very sweeping judgements about people right now.
From your perspective, I'm sure the answers are all pretty clear. Try walking in Mkr's shoes and living his life, or the lives of many who are not making ends meet, who are relying on cc's to pay the rent because the job is gone now. Using the cards to put food on the table when the $11 an hour job is only barely making that rent and you fall through the cracks for govt assistance. What's the alternative starve? For many people this is reality. Especially for many families who cannot afford insurance. A study was recently done on those who are filing for bankruptcy. In many cases it is due to a medical crisis (think of Vivamus).
Must be nice to be you.

At some point people have to start taking responsibility for the financial chaos they are in, you can’t always blame the government for not being able to pay your rent on time. It’s time for Americans to stop spending money they don’t have.
Omg, Lola, I can't believe you said this. While this may be true for some, this is certainly not a norm. Many people cannot pay their rent or mortgage because they have been laid off and what jobs are available don't pay the bills. We're certain to lose our home by spring at this point because there are NO jobs. People are losing their homes left and right here in MI and are heading out to Texas, Nevada and heaven knows where else to find work. My cousin, a simple guy whose family lives in the Rogers City area of MI, a guy who is a hard working man, industrious in a way I don't see often, is in Nevada working and sending home money. The only reason he can get away with this is because his children are grown. No, clearly, we're not all lazy slobs that charge fur coats and ipods and whine when there's nothing left for food and rent.
but a real friend will help you move a body.. jus' sayin' .
this just popped into my noggin at 6:30 am while i'm firing up my gis workstation at work.
heard it somewhere, or maybe it was bumper sticker .
ever have one of those really weird moments?
part melancholy...fleeting and just weird.
it's like certain uncontrollable elements come together to create an overwhelming sadness...or maybe it's just the caffeine.. so here i am sitting in a starbucks, in one of the comfy seats...been here since opening at 6am...when all of sudden i'm reading the post by uzzah, listening to the starbucks channel play georgia on my mind by ray charles...followed by i left my heart in san francisco...fighting back tears to no avail....and everything around me is hazy.
what is it with starbucks.....
A few weeks ago I had taken my pooch
to get his fur cut.
And then since I was 45 min away from home and it was going to take an hour, I went to my nearest Starbucks with my book I had planned on reading.
Incredibly tired and hoping that a venti cappucino would give me the bright eyed look, I plopped in one of their cozy chairs, opened my book and stared at the same page for a few minutes before I finally admitted defeat and said eff it.
Leaned back in the chair and stared out the window.
And everything that has been going on hit and I just started wiping away tears.
A lot goes on in my life that I don't share with people on the board. I talk with people email wise and they know what is going on. I am damned lucky that I have the friends I have. The support that they have given me and are continously offering has been a life saver.
But on this particular day....everything just hit.
Starbucks....I think they Want you to stay and cry, then you'll buy more coffee....
